truth be told

You can’t expect to find peace in your skin if you are still following the rules of an industry that profits off you feeling like you aren’t enough.

Putting down the heavy baggage of diet culture doesn’t happen overnight—it’s a practice that happens in the quiet moments of honesty with yourself. This guide is your invitation to leave those "rules" on the shore and dive into a life where you honour your hunger, unlearn the "shoulds," and move toward body neutrality. Your body is a worthy vessel that carries you through life; it doesn't have to be "beautiful" to deserve your respect and care.

What's inside the free Body Peace & Food Freedom Journaling Guide?

You can keep lugging around the heavy baggage of diet culture, or you can leave those old "rules" on the shore and finally feel free to take up space.

01

Building Body Neutrality: Stop scanning for "flaws" and start seeing your body as the vessel that allows you to feel the water and the sun.

02

Exploring Food Relationships: Identify the "rules" you’ve been carrying and reconnect with the foods that actually make you feel nourished and satisfied.

03

Challenging Diet Culture: Unmask the industry that profits off your self-doubt so you can stop shrinking and start living.

04

Honouring Hunger & Fullness: Relearn your body's natural cues and discover how to trust yourself again, one meal at a time.

05

Clothing & Body Acceptance: Learn how to choose outfits (and swimsuits!) based on how they feel, not just how they look.

06

Self-Compassion & Kindness: Trade your inner critic for a voice that treats you with the same gentleness you’d give a best friend.

07

Movement & Joyful Living: Reclaim the water as a place for play and sensation. Stop treating your body like an ornament to be looked at, and start treating it like the instrument that allows you to actually live.

08

Non-Scale Progress Tracking: Notice the tiny, brave shifts in your mindset—like the first time you head to the lake without a side of guilt.

Meet Julie B.

Hi, I’m Julie—a fierce, heart-led social worker and anti-diet therapist. I created this guide because I know diet culture is a scam that profits off us feeling like we aren't enough. My trauma-informed practice is grounded in the messy reality of healing, helping you unlearn "rules" that were never yours so you can finally feel safe in your own skin.

When I’m not supporting clients in unbuckling the weight of diet culture, you can find me swimming laps or at the pottery studio. I am dedicated to helping people reclaim their energy from body criticism, reminding my community that our bodies are worthy vessels that don't have to be "beautiful" to deserve respect and care.

Life is meant to be lived,
not spent trying to disappear.

Sometimes you just need a little help unlearning the rules that keep you from enjoying the water. Your practice of body peace starts here.
